jillibean soup cards

Good morning! I am back as promised to share some cards created with Jillibean Soup. Today is the last day to enter the Carta Bella Blog Hop HERE.

The first card is one I created with the Fresh Vegetable Soup collection:
That paper with the veggies is my favorite:) I love the colors in this collection too!

The other card, I created with the Chilled Cucumber Soup collection:
My favorite thing about this collection are the lovely patterns!

That's it for today! I have fallen behind in project life already. I have the photos+notes all together for each week, just got to do my spreads. Maybe this week that will happen:)

green beans

Good morning! You still have time to enter the Carta Bella blog hop HERE.

I haven't shared any Jillibean projects in awhile, so here I am, sharing one of my projects I created this month:
I played with the new Fresh Vegetable Soup line...which is so darn cute;) I had to use the "Eat Your Veggies" die-cut here:) I love love these pictures of Kieran, his faces were so funny that he made. Thankfully now he does eat green beans:)

Here are a few detail shots:
I love the new font for the new alphabeans!

I will be back tomorrow to share some cards I created with Jillibean:)

2013 oscar picks

**If you are looking for the Carta Bella blog hop, just scroll down:)

It's that day again. Shaun and I love movies, and even though we don't see near as many as we did pre-kids, we try to see what we can. This is the sixth year that we have made our Oscar picks...and every year I have gotten the most right;) Let's see if I will this year. (I totally get lucky on the categories that no one knows what they entail and I pick what I think will win-for the most part, not what I want to!)

Best Picture:
P- Argo
S- Argo
This year out of the nominees, we saw Argo, Lincoln (I will admit that I fell asleep in this...in the beginning, so I am not really counting that I saw it!), Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained, and Silver Linings Playbook. We want Silver Linings Playbook to win. I loved that movie so much! It was funny and touching, and just a wonderful movie. I think it is one of my favorite movies now:) We also really enjoyed Django Unchained. I liked Argo and Zero Dark Thirty, but I can guess in a couple years, I won't really remember them all that well or really want to watch them again. I really would like to see Amour, but I think I will have to wait for netflix for that one;)

Best Actor:
P- Daniel Day Lewis
S- Daniel Day Lewis
He is just awesome, but I kinda want Bradley Cooper to win. Joaquin Phoenix also does and incredible job in The Master.

Best Actress:
P- Jennifer Lawrence
S- Jennifer Lawrence
She rocks. She nails her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

Best Supporting Actor:
P- Tommy Lee Jones
S- Tommy Lee Jones
This is tough...all of the nominees did amazing. Shaun picked Tommy Lee Jones, and I totally copied him since I hardly saw Lincoln;) I believe he is the favorite, so I am going with it.

Best Supporting Actress:
P- Anne Hathaway
S- Anne Hathaway
going with the favorite here:)

Best Directing:
P- David O. Russell
S- David O. Russell
We want him to win. His heart is in this movie, and we loved it, so I want it to win at least one big award. I have a feeling the Oscar will go to Steven Spielberg though;)

Best Adapted Screenplay:
P- Lincoln
S- Silver Linings Playbook

Best Original Screenplay:
P- Django Unchained
S- Django Unchained
I want this to win...but I have a feeling Zero Dark Thirty will win. Which...even though the screenplay is original, the story is based on a true story. Django Unchained is seriously original;)

Best Animated Movie:
P- Wreck-It Ralph
S- Wreck-It Ralph
The whole family loved this. Pixar...you made up a little for Cars 2 with Brave, we liked it, but you're not quite to where you were with Up, Wall-E, Finding Nemo...we'll see how you handle the prequel to Monsters Inc this summer.

Cinematography:
P- Life of Pi
S- Lincoln

Costume Design:
P- Anna Karenina
S- Anna Karenina
didn't see it, but it seems like these types of period always win this category;)

Documentary Feature:
P- Searching For Sugar Man
S- Five Broken Cameras
The only one I saw this year was The Silent War, but I have heard more about Searching For Sugar Man, so I am going with that;)

Documentary Short:
P- Open Heart
S- King's Point
we are totally guessing here;) I have no idea what any of them were even about;)

Film Editing:
P- Zero Dark Thirty
S- Zero Dark Thirty

Foreign Language Film:
P- Amour
S- No
I am going with Amour, since it was nominated for Best Picture as well;)

Makeup and Hairstyling:
P- The Hobbit
S- The Hobbit
because it should win something :)

Original Score:
P- Lincoln
S- Skyfall

Original Song:
P- Skyfall
S- Suddenly

Production Design:
P- Life of Pi
S- Lincoln

Short Film (Animated):
P- Paperman
S- Paperman

Short Film (Live Action):
P- Death of a Shadow
S- Death of a Shadow

Sound Editing:
P- Skyfall
S- Zero Dark Thirty

Sound Mixing:
P- Les Miserables
S- Skyfall

Visual Effects:
P- Life of Pi
S- The Hobbit

Sooooo...what movies did you see/love/hate this year? What do you want/think will win?

Look HERE for last year's picks;)

My little man is such a ham in front of the camera and when you start asking him to show you his happy face, silly face, etc...this is what you get;) I thought the youthful feel and whimsy of the Alphabet Junction collection would be the perfect match for these silly pictures;)

happy valentine's day!

I hope you all are spending some time with your sweet valentines:) Kieran and I are about to make some cookies for after dinner (although if I know us...some will be consumed before then!).

I had some Valentine's themed tags up on the Carta Bella blog last week, so I though it would be fitting to share them here today;)

I used the beautiful Devoted line for them. These were the only Valentine's I created this year, so they are going on little treats for the family;)

I would love to see what you created for Valentine's Day this year! Please link me up!

january jillibean soup projects

Good morning! I wanted to share the cards and layouts I created for Jillibean Soup in January...it is quite the eclectic assortment;)

I will start with my favorite project:

I mostly used the Macho Nacho Soup collection on this. I looove this photo of K. He is such a silly guy and is always making me smile:)

Another silly picture of K...and I just noticed this as I posted it...I guess I had fun mixing and matching fonts/stickers on my pages this month:) I will have even more fun once I get all of the new Alphabeans in every color in my hands...I love that font so so much! This page primarily uses Country Pumpkin Chowder.

This card uses the Coconut Lime Soup collection, and I still adore the color combination in this line. So fresh and fun:)

For this card, I used the Grandma's Lima Bean Soup collection. Looking back at my cards for Jillibean Soup...it seems like I am obsessed with adding twine. It's an addiction;)

Thanks for looking and I have some good news! Now that Winter CHA has come and Jillibean has released some new goodies, the collections released last summer (Grandma's Lima Bean Soup, Country Pumpkin Chowder, Winter Tortellini and Spinach Soup, and Soup Staples II), as well as the fun Hexies stickers and Banner Bites stickers, have been added to the retail shop, yay!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
