27...

Today I am 27. Not too excited that it is my birthday, maybe 27 is the magical number when you realize the numbers are going up? LOL. Anyways, Aislynn kept begging me all morning to make a cake for me and Uncle Phillip, so here we did. I think licking the spoon is why she wanted to make the cake so bad:) Phillip, Brynne, Sean, Josh, and my Mom came over and we went out to eat and hung out all day. This picture is a little out of focus, but it is cute!
Check out A's cheeseball face:)
Yes, I do love close up pictures of that sweet face:) Aislynn wanted to help blow the candles out!

Still no name ideas for baby boy. Good thing we have awhile before he needs a name!

I will post some of the ultrasound pictures as soon as I can get them scanned, I just wanted to get this up here:)
Aislynn loved the pictures and said, "That baby is soooo cute." And she thinks we should name him Laolo:)
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!!!!!

More crafty things...

I stayed up WAAAAAY too late last night, and am totally regretting it today, especially since A got up at about 7:20. But I did get a lot of things done...it feels so good to play! I feel like I am in a groove lately! Here is a page I did to recap 2008.

I got 28 pictures on that-1.5" squares I made this with the December kit from Kraft Girl Kits. And a few cards...these were fun to make.
Did this one with the leftovers from the January kit from Kraft Girl Kits.
Yesterday we played in the backyard and Aislynn's latest thing is to dig with sticks as her shovel:)
I promise I will stop talking about my new lens...soon...but getting the lens made me read my instruction manual for the camera again and that refreshed me on how to change the white balance. It was really gray and overcast outside, so I changed the white balance to that setting and the colors looked so much better after I did that!
We got a big box from Grandma P. yesterday and there were some goodies for Aislynn in there...love love love this picture... She LOVES her pink guitar-thanks so much Deb!!!! What a rock star:)

18 weeks yesterday...

This was my picture I took yesterday...18 weeks. This pregnancy seems like it is flying by, so much faster than when I was pregnant with Aislynn. Maybe because I am not so obsessed with being pregnant this time since I have done it before, lol. I am definitely craving sweet tea, cheese, AND twizzlers/licorice. Expecially the last thing. Like so much that I have to get a new bag everyday. Today I bought 3 bags, so that should last a few days:) The baby is moving around a lot more now, especially when I am sitting down, it is the best feeling! Aislynn keeps telling me my belly is getting bigger, and she gives it kisses and pats it to say hi to the baby:) Today A looked so cute in this shirt that I HAD to take pictures of her in it. I took a ton, but a lot of them are out of focus, or dark, weird. Anyways, these are the best ones... In this one and the one below, there is the strange ray of light, it was only in some of the pictures, but I am so bummed it's in the one below:( How cute is that face?
It was a little windy:)
I think this one is my favorite: She is becoming more cooperative with the camera...yay!

More pages to share...

Used up a lot of the January kit from Kraft Girl Kits last night...
And the picture for today... We went swimming and to the beach (way too windy to take pictures on the beach today) with Aislynn's little pal, Lillian. When we were leaving their house, she tripped and scraped up her elbow and knees on the driveway:( She was asleep by the time we got home and took a little nap on the sofa. I love sleeping kid pictures:) So sweet.

On a blogging roll...

I think it is me trying to take a picture a day, I want to get them posted right away so they don't just sit on the computer. Plus, I am having fun with the new lens...have I mentioned that I love it? :) Aislynn got these blocks 2 Christmases ago and she still plays with them:) Took these when I was snapping pictures of the layouts below...
Love this one above...
I had the blinds up, but it was foggy and gray outside, but I kinda like the light here. I had the ISO set at 400 and was shooting on Aperture Priority mode.
I got some scrapping done last night, it felt good to scrap. I feel like time is in short supply these days. This page I made with the December Kraft Girl Kits: This page I am REALLY happy with, made it with the January Kraft Girl Kits. This is my favorite kit so far:)
details... That's all for now:)

So far...

I have kept up with my goal of taking a picture everyday:)
Last night I caught the "tickle monkey," a new game, in action.Aislynn got new paintbrushes in her stocking, but we have been out of that big white paper, so we got some yesterday. Today she had been begging me to paint, so while Shaun and I cooked dinner, she painted. Love how serious she is;)
These pictures are a little grainy b/c I wasn't using the flash.

Goals for 2009...

No, not do more laundry, ha ha. One of them is to take more pictures. Which may not be necessary since we took 8, 503 pictures in 2008-WOW. That is a lot. I know it isn't realistic to take a picture every single day, but I can try right? So the laundry picture I took late last night after realizing I had taken no pictures yesterday...and since laundry is pretty much all I did (that is 5 loads there), I decided to capture the moment, hee hee.
Anyways, I did better today, LOVE this lens. Love, love love it. This picture has a shadow in the background, but how could you not love those big blue eyes and smile?Another one of my goals is to really LEARN my camera and everything it can do and improve me photography skills. This picture is a little out of focus, but I do love how the pillow and futon in the background are blurred. This shot is my favorite...she seems to be thinking, "When will Mom stop taking pictures of me and give me the popcorn she promised me if I let her take pictures of me?" :) More goals...to eat less packaged foods, which is why I made a big pot of soup for lunch instead of buying cans. Less $$ and more healthy. We also really need to curb our spending. We are saving all of our receipts for a month and seeing where we can cut back. Our goal is to be in a better financial position at the end of the year then where we are now. Another goal is to get Kraft Girl Kits rockin'...which I am optimistic about, especially since the website is done (THANKS SO MUCH PHILLIP!!!!). Check it out here! That is it for now...we are getting back in the swing of things here and will hopefully get our Christmas stuff taken down tomorrow.
