project life week one

**if you are looking for the Carta Bella blog hop, please look HERE**

I am going to attempt it this year...again. I am not sure how long I will keep up or how many weeks will be included, but I will try my best. I haven't created a title page for the album because I want to wait until the end of the year and include my favorite photos from throughout the year.

So far, I have completed weeks one and two, but I haven't yet photographed week two, so I am only sharing week one today. Week three and four have been a bit stressful and busy-more on that later, but I have kept good notes and I *will* get them done once life settles down (ha ha ha).

To keep it simpler and more manageable, I am doing one page spreads. This way, I can get it done faster and I don't feel like I have to include every single thing to fill up the pages.

I started a folder where I stuck my favorite scraps and bits of papers that I plan on pulling from for my project life pages. Also...did you notice there was no stitching on this? I shocked myself:) I did add some stitching on week 2 though;)

Just holler if you have any questions about products I used!

I am sharing a card using the Devoted collection. Whenever I get a box of Carta Bella goodies, I have a problem deciding which of the patterned papers to cut into first. I solved that problem with this card by using a lot of the papers:)

Here is the list of blogs for your hopping pleasure;)

scraptastic chasing pavements kit

At Scraptastic this month, I played with the Chasing Pavements kit, which is now unfortunately sold out, but the add-on is still available.

I loved the blues and greens in this kit, prompted me to scrap some Kieran pictures (I put a bunch of layouts in albums a couple weeks ago and it appears that I scrap A a bit more?). I was able to get 2 layouts and 2 cards done.

The design team's challenge this month was to lift a layout in the gallery, and I chose THIS layout from member missybossy. I love me a good grid design, so I was heavily inspired by that;)

I wanted to capture a bit about what Kieran likes at this age, what he does, etc., since I don't think I did one for 3? That triangle paper was my favorite piece in the kit, and it inspired the other triangles/arrows here.

Here are the 2 cards I created:
Told ya I loved that paper;)

I have been wanting to create a card with confetti for the longest time. I grabbed a vellum envelope from my stash and filled it with confetti, then decided the outside needed some too:)

The other kit this month, Days of Our Lives, is still available and it is gorgeous too!!!

In other news related to Scraptastic, January will be my last month designing for them. I need to reduce my obligations, so I am stepping down from the team. I have enjoyed working with Jessica's kits and the design team at Scraptastic so much and I hope to work with them again in the future!

carta bella winter CHA sneaks

hello hello! I am back today to share with you sneaks of the new Carta Bella lines that are debuting at CHA in a couple of days! I had the chance to play with all of them, they are all very different from each other, but beautiful and so much fun to play with:)

Well Traveled:
This line has some awesome embellishments to go along with it...chipboard and brads as Carta Bella has done in the past...but also something new for them, which makes me so happy, as it has become a new obsession of mine;)

So Noted:
This one was my favorite...the colors are so soft and pretty and it has such a delicate, vintage feel to it!

Cool Summer:
This line is really fresh and I love love the ice cream motifs!

So now I have to ask, which collection has caught your eye?

it's been awhile

I hope you all had wonderful holidays with your family and are looking forward to 2013 and all it holds! We had a good little break and now that school has started back up, I am ready to get back in the swing of things here as well:)

CHA is coming up towards the end of this week and I wanted to share some of the sneak peeks from Carta Bella and Jillibean Soup. I have had the opportunity to play with some of the new collections from both companies and I think you will be pleased with what they are releasing!! I am also very excited because this CHA is the first one that I will have created projects for:)

Today I will share Jillibean Soup's releases, and tomorrow I will share Carta Bella.
I just can't even decide which one is my favorite...it's a tie;) And I looooooove that the new pea pod parts are cut and packaged up in a little baggie so that you don't have to punch the die-cuts from the sheet anymore.

There are some other fun things coming out...new alphabeans, word stickers (LOVE these), stamps, and the placements are really awesome too, especially for people like me, who aren't cool enough to have a die-cutting machine;)
p.s. There is still more that hasn't been shared yet;)

What out of all of this do you have to have? What is your favorite?!
