Bath Time and Swimming Classes

I took these tonight, just because the story cracks me up:) Aislynn lined up all her bath buddies (slowly more and more of her regular toys are ending up in the bath tub) and was feeding them dinner (bubbles). Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but some of the friends are sitting on a wash cloth (beach blanket) because they are having a picnic. She is so serious about it!
That little tray to the left floats, and I got that so she wouldn't use the edge of the tub to play on b/c every night the floor is flooded from this. So what does she do? Puts that tray on the edge. Sigh, I give up:) So, swimming classes. They are going not as well as I had hoped, but there was a big improvement in Aislynn's attitude about them today versus yesterday. She really does not like to go under water at all. AT ALL. She cries and yesterday she kept telling Shaun that Mommy was putting her under the water:( Today she did much better though. She is going everyday this week, and then moves up into the next class and goes once a week for 8 weeks. I think that class will be better because I won't be in the water with her. When the instructors take her and help her, she does fine (she is still cautious, but she does what she is supposed to do), but with me, she acts all scared and doesn't want to do anything she is supposed to do. She is having fun though...even if she won't admit it, lol. This morning when we got out of the car, she did her happy little skip she does when she is excited and she talked about them all day today:)

Yay for no more rain!!!

It finally was nice outside today, but will be short lived since just 3 out of the next 10 days are supposed to be sunny/partly cloudy. Looks like we will be splashing in puddles a lot coming up!
Shaun took these pictures today...I hate how fat my arms look:) And my pants look a little frumpy, oh well. I guess I am not a super model;)

I have been going through my old scrapbook magazines and I saw a page with a similar picture to the one below and I wanted to make a similar one, so here we go. Jakki-I might be sending this your way to do the warming action to it:) Then she wanted her picture taken:) After dinner, we were driving and the sun was setting perfectly over one of the unique coastal lakes here, and we finally had the camera with us, so we stopped. For those of you who know 30-A, this is Big Red Fish Lake (I think?) in between Watercolor and Grayton Beach. Shaun took these:

Love it here:) Especially when it isn't pouring down rain:)
Aislynn starts swimming classes tomorrow. We go everyday this week and then once a week for the next 8 weeks. Curious to see how they will go, but she is super excited:)

Fabulous...

Aislynn woke me up this morning by asking me to put on her earrings...she already had all the other accessories on:)
What a ham, I told her to say "I'm fabulous," and this is what she did:) Then we had a little potty accident and she had to change clothes...apparently you can ONLY wear the jewelry if you are wearing a dress.
This was what Aislynn did while I made dinner: I made a box of scrap paper/stickers for her and a box with all her crayons and markers, so she happily scrapbooked while I cooked. Not the best pictures, but the timer was going off and I just wanted to catch this while I could:)
She said "Mom, I spelled King Triton (what she calls Shaun right now)." In the past she has just stuck a bunch of letter stickers on the paper, not spelling anything. But she spelled "DAD!" It's hard to see, it's the top right of the page.

We have been practicing with her, so now she can spell her name, Dad, Mom, and happy (thanks to Mimi!). Smarty! And I love that my old scrappy supplies are entertaining her too:)

It has been so rainy and nasty outside the past couple days:( Today we made chocolate chip cookies, so that cheered things up a bit! Looks like all next week is supposed to be rainy except for Sunday and Monday.

29 weeks:)

Here is my 29 week belly picture:) We had a doctor's appointment Monday, which went well. The heartbeat was nice and strong, and A thinks hearing is just the coolest thing, but she keeps asking when we can see the baby on the screen (ultrasound), but I don't think we will have anymore. This is kinda funny...I have to leave a urine sample every time I go and last time Aislynn said, "When I'm a grown up, can I pee in a little cup?" Ha ha, she is so silly:) Aislynn moved her head in this picture, but I still thought it was pretty cute:) We rented Aristocats, which Aislynn loves! It is pretty cute:) Before that, she was in a total Little Mermaid phase...calling herself Ariel, me Ursula, and Shaun King Triton:) So even though she is not watching the movie all the time now, she has been playing this little game:

Those are all of Ariel's collections:) And she sings the song Ariel sings about her collections to her reflection in the mirror. Goofy girl:)

Weekend Recap:)

We went to Bainbridge, GA this weekend and stayed with Shaun's parents. Friday night I went to scrapbook with my friend, Becky, and I only made 1 page:) I will try to post it later...seems like I never get that much accomplished when I am around other scrapbookers:)
Saturday we went to Riley's (Becky's daughter) birthday party. Aislynn was a little nervous to go on the jumping things at first, especially after she collided with a kid and they bumped their heads. Here is one of the few decent shots I got...not the best lighting, and all the sliding down shots were blurry.Happy Birthday Miss Riley!!!! Saturday afternoon Aislynn and Mimi (Shaun's step-mom) made a cake...I should've taken pictures b/c it was so cute:) Aislynn cracked the eggs by herself for the first time! Aislynn had so much fun playing with Mimi...and apparently Mimi's baths are much more fun than Mommy's;)
We left this morning and when we got back, the weather was so nice we decided to head to a park and play outside since we had been sitting in the car. Here are Aislynn and Coach Dad playing soccer: Aislynn loved playing soccer:)
Here is her victory dance for when she made a goal:) But then they had to hug like they do in the soccer games Shaun watches:) We had a nice weekend, hope everyone else did too!! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so will give a baby update soon!

Hello Sunshine!

Here is my 28 week belly (7 months, eek!). Not the best quality picture, but you get the idea:) Today was gorgeous, so Megan and I took the girls to play in the fountains. My pictures came out really bad, and I was using the zoom lens. When I switched back to a different lens, I realized that I had the Vibration Reduction turned off-oops! Here are a few clear shots though...
This picture would have been cute had Aislynn not been so grumpy. She was NOT happy about leaving and she had tripped shortly before this but only a minor boo-boo. Gotta love the snot dripping out of her nose too:) Here are a few more things from the March kit from Kraft Girl Kits. This card is using the March Sketch.
That's all for now!

Rain Rain Go Away...

We have had great temperatures the past week, but the past 3 days have been rainy and gray. Here is Aislynn watching the rain...wishing we could to the park:(We watched movies, baked banana bread, painted, and were itching to go outside, so when it stopped raining hard, we put on raincoats and Aislynn got to try out her new boots and splash in some puddles!
This picture is blurry, but it shows how much fun she was having:) When we were coming inside, she said, "I can't wait for it to rain again, splashing in puddles is fun." :)

Happy Friday!!!!

My doctor's appointment yesterday was good, everything sounds and looks good!!!! I have all of my doctor's appointments scheduled for the rest of my pregnancy. I will go every 2 weeks the next 4 times, and then every week the last 4 times. Going by fast....
I have SOOOOO been slacking on all my New Year's Resolutions:) Not been eating as healthy as I wanted (totally using being pregnant as an excuse!) and I have really fallen off the wagon on picture-taking. So, I was going through some old pictures and thought I would share these since the ole blog wasn't around then:)
This was Aislynn at 16 months...kinda looks like she was trying to write Aislynn:)This was her at 18 months, so sweet:) I love her short hair:)
This was when we were in San Diego in May of 2007, on the hotel balcony. This was when Aislynn was 20 months. Love this picture, I haven't scrapped it yet. But it is a sweet picture:)

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!!

Growing...

in lots of ways:) Here is my 27 week belly, you get to see the whole thing since I was wearing a white shirt and the background in white:) Last week, the cashier and bagger at the grocery store couldn't believe how big I looked for having 3 months to go. They thought I had more than one baby in there:( It really hurt my feelings...why do people think it's okay to comment on things like that? Ugh. Anyways...
She is exactly 3.5 today. Eek!!! Tomorrow she is going to be closer to 4 than 3!!! Time is flying by SOOOOOO fast! Oh, and I had been putting off getting her bangs cut, but since she will not keep her barrette on very long, I just decided to keep her bangs. So we went to "the bang store," as Aislynn calls it and got her hair cut. Cute feet:) I took Aislynn to get new shoes last weekend and all of her shoes were size 9, and she should wear a 10! So these are one of the pairs we got:) Yesterday, Brynne, Aislynn and I went to get our toes done...and I wish I could say it was nice and relaxing. Let's just say that it would have been more relaxing had it just been Brynne and me. But Aislynn's toes do look cute:) We were having issues today...for some reason, she refused to give the camera eye contact...
Even though I know nothing about gardening, we bought some flowers and planted them in our front yard today. A had SOOO much fun, so I'm glad we did it:) Hopefully the flowers live...when we were digging the holes the dirt was like sand and not soil?
Here are the latest pages I have made...all with the March Kit from Kraft Girl Kits!!!

Tomorrow is my next doctor's appointment, so I will update after that and let you know how it went!
