Woo hoo-warm weather!!!

Today the weather was absolutely gorgeous!! Aislynn played outside in shorts-I love spring!! But along with warm weather brings mosquitos, they were out tonight in full force. We braved the tourist traffic and went to Target. Man, it is so easy to spend money there...got Easter stuff, some outdoor things for Aislynn to play with (including this really cute inflatable pool that has a giraffe slide), new bathing suits, and I really don't know what else!! I could go into Target everyday and fill up the cart...just ask Shaun;) Here are the latest pictures, I took the one below a couple days ago, when Aislynn insisted she didn't need a nap...she did take one yesterday though! I just love this one of her face-I love kissing those sweet cheeks!
Here she is "catching a fish" again. I think I need to do a page about this-every time I take pictures outside I have one in the series of her doing this, lol.
I love action mode!! Well, I just love our new camera-the old one just does not even compare!
Cutie pie! Seriously, I know I'm biased, but how could anyone resist that face?

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day-don't forget to wear your green! Hopefully some of my pre-orders I did will start trickling in this week-keep your fingers crossed!!

Been busy creating...

So I have been bad about updating my blog, but here are 4 layouts I finished over the past few days. The Karate page was made for a challenge I am hosting on thescrapbooksite.com-everything had to be done in threes (since March is the third month-get it?) I am thinking I am going to change the journaling block into strips instead of having that big block-it looks wierd to me.
Shaun calls Aislynn Boogsie (or boogs, boogaloo, boogster) so I thought these pics would be cute to document that-I dropped my ink pad on the picture as I was cleaning my table up-grrr...I will have to reprint that picture.
You will probably recognize this picture as one I took last week, I wanted to record some of the cute and funny things Aislynn says right now. I am IN LOVE with those stickers from Doodlebug-love the font!!
I have scrapped these pictures before, but I wanted to do them again because the first page is not that great and I have been dying to use that little journaling notebook page from Making Memories. That is why I wanted the notebook and I have used almost all of the pages except any of the one in this page! And I love the foam thickers because you can manipulate the letters so good-I didn't have another "s" so I used the $ and cut off the little pieces.
The weather has been pretty warm the past couple days-YAY! We are going to get Aislynn one of those little plastic pools for the back yard, but the traffic was so bad going to Target-all the spring breakers are in town.
Well, off to put my crazy girl to bed-she is jumping on the bed right now and Shaun is taking pictures of her:)

What is today??

Today I had no concept of what day it was since our travel was so messed up and we didn't get home until yesterday. Aislynn and I went to the store-yay we have food in the house! She actually behaved for me except for when I was getting meat. She demanded that the old man next to me give her his list (except she referred to it as "my" list), and he just ignored her the whole time. Then when he walked away, she kept yelling "Come back here" in the same tone I yell that at her, lol. Goof. Here are some pictures I took today of her: Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent in this picture? Well, looks are deceiving, ha ha. The hat was a last minute thing because she had just eaten lunch and dumped applesauce on her head, so her hair was crunchy:)
This one cracks me up!
This one she is "catching a fish." At Halloween she played that Go Fish game at this carnival where you throw the stick with a string behind the tarp and someone behind the tarp attaches a little prize. She remembers this, so when we go outside she picks up a stick and pretends to catch a fish.
Here she is washing her hair.
I just thought this picture was sweet, and I had to share!
I am about to scrapbook right now, just wanted to update and will hopefully have something fun to share tomorrow!

Back from Vegas...

We got back in town kinda yesterday-we flew in to Tallahassee and we drove back to our house today, whew I am exhausted! I am in laundry land and Aislynn is acting a little clingy, but that is normal after not seeing us for 4 days:( The last day I really started missing her bad, my Mom told me she was rubbing her nose on the phone when she talked to me (she was trying to give me an eskimo kiss), that made me sad. She had a blast with Grandma and Aunt Brynne and all the boys (James, Uncle Andrew, and Uncle Phillip!) Anyways, here are some pictures and highlights from our trip!

This picture we took right before we went into the airport -we were excited-we had no idea our flight had been delayed 2 hours either! (We had bad luck with our flights going and coming back-no hurry to fly anywhere soon!)

This was our view from our hotel room-we stayed at Mandalay Bay-I took one at night-it looked much cooler, but the glass made there be a bad glare in the picture. There is a sister hotel called THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay, and there is a club called Mix at the top of that one-Amazing view of the strip. Even the bathroom stalls had views, lol.

This is a picture of the glass flowers on the ceiling in the lobby of the Bellagio-they are gorgeous in real life!!

This was the top of the Theatre when we saw "O," a Cirque Du Soleil show. In the beginning of the show the pointy thing comes down and there is a lady on a trapeze doing awesome tricks. The show was really cool, I would recommend it! It is amazing what people can do with their bodies!

This is the replica of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Casino. You can go up to the top, we did when Aislynn was about 2 months old, but we didn't do it this time. Anyways, it is one of my fave things on the strip, esp. when it's all lit up.

We took this in our hotel room before we went to dinner Satuday night. We had to be very creative making a tripod to use the self-timer-we didn't bring our real tripod with us. It involved an ironing board, waste basket, some books, and a tissue box, lol. It worked pretty good!

We went to dinner at Delmonicos in the Venetian (WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT-YUMMY!) and walked around the Palazzo (The Venetian's new sister Casino)-they had this cool waterfall thing.

Doesn't he look handsome in that color??

This is Shaun's dessert at Delmonicos-an individual pecan pie, I got white chocolate creme brulee. It was good, but we went to Mesa Grill (a Bobby Flay restaraunt) and their dessert was the best. Delmonicos food was better though, and the atmosphere and service was better too.

This was at the end of our trip, a self-portrait shot. We had a ton of fun, gambled and lost a little, but that's okay...we were not expecting to win!

So now we are trying to get back in the swing of things, definetly need to stop eating out...some of my pants are a little tight, lol.

I had 2 packages waiting for me when we got back, one from A Walk Down Memory Lane, and the other was from my secret sister from the Hard Core Critique Group-yay, what nice surprises! I can't wait to use them...hopefully tonight...in between loads of laundry!

2 More Days!!

2 more days until we leave for Las Vegas! Shaun told Aislynn tonight she was going to get to see Grandma soon, but she thinks "soon" is like 5 minutes away, so she kept asking for her the rest of the night. We also went to get ice cream tonight-I know it's cold, but we ate inside, lol. Aislynn said, "Ice cream is very tasty, but it is cold." She is getting so good at saying sentences! Sometimes she is trying to say one and she pauses and you can see her little face concentrating on what she is about to say-so cute! I think she is phasing naptime out, b/c I really don't remember the last day she took a nap, yikes! But she is going to bed earlier and sleeping later, so that's okay. Here is a pic I took of running around-she is so busy! Yay, I actually got her looking at the camera!
Don't you just want to kiss those sweet cheeks?
Her hair looks red in these pictures!
Uh oh, no more pictures Mommy-read me books like you said you were going to:(

I am so proud of myself, I am trying to take pictures everyday(I've done really good!), and I didn't get anything scrappy done, but I guess taking pictures counts, lol. I probably won't get to scrap until after our trip. I am cleaning and doing laundry b/c I hate to come home from vacation to a messy house, oh well!

Long Day

Today was sort of a long day, A didn't take her nap and was acting very naughty during most of the day. I will share the good stuff first-here is a picture frame I made to go in Aislynn's room. Her bedding is green, turquoise, and purple flowers. So I keep using this rolling paper technique, but I can't help it-I love it! Here is a close up:
Here is a picture I took of my crazy girl, this faces sums up the day, lol.
Here is a layout I made last night, I love it! Simple, but I love the pictures and love that metal embellie by My Mind's Eye.
Here is what Aislynn did to herself while I was making dinner. She will sometimes color on the table and I have to remind her to "only color on the table." Today she pushed it a little far, she was being quiet so I looked and she had tatooed herself with markers-YIKES!
Thank goodness for washable markers!
Okay, that's all the excitement for today, I got my little desktop organizer for my scrap space, I have one more package coming and then my space will be completely organized-yay! I will post pics when it is all done.

First Post

So this is my very first blog post. I am not sure what to say, but I guess it will just take practice. Soon I won't be able to be quiet, lol. I guess I will just talk about today, we took Aislynn to this pretty cool playground today and she had a blast, she is in love with the swings. She did not want to leave, but I subtley bribed her with a juice box. The weather rocked today-it was a gorgeous blue sky and no clouds, and the temps were in the high 60's. This week I moved my scrap room upstairs and I guess I unplugged the camera battery charger. I charged the battery for the camera, but since it was unplugged it didn't charge:( So no pictures at the park, I was very sad. Aislynn hasn't taken a nap today, but she is being pretty sweet, she will just go to bed early and that leaves more scrappy time for me-yay! I have been wanting to work on this picture frame for her room, so maybe I will do it tonight. I still have tons of Christmas pictures to scrap, but am not feeling in the Christmas mood, hee hee. Oh well, I am definetly not a chronological scrapper, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Here are some pages I completed Friday night:

This page was really fun to make, I love all these shots of Aislynn on the beach, and I love the bright colors against the Kraft paper background (quite possibly my favorite thing to scrap with!).

The Stocking layout I lifted from my pal Louisa-thanks girl! The rolled edge and distressed look is something I keep putting on my pages, but I am in love with the look right now!
Okay, you will have to forgive the one page being at the top of my post, it may take me a couple tries to get this blog thing figured out. Well, take care, I am off...
