Bath Time and Swimming Classes

I took these tonight, just because the story cracks me up:) Aislynn lined up all her bath buddies (slowly more and more of her regular toys are ending up in the bath tub) and was feeding them dinner (bubbles). Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but some of the friends are sitting on a wash cloth (beach blanket) because they are having a picnic. She is so serious about it!
That little tray to the left floats, and I got that so she wouldn't use the edge of the tub to play on b/c every night the floor is flooded from this. So what does she do? Puts that tray on the edge. Sigh, I give up:) So, swimming classes. They are going not as well as I had hoped, but there was a big improvement in Aislynn's attitude about them today versus yesterday. She really does not like to go under water at all. AT ALL. She cries and yesterday she kept telling Shaun that Mommy was putting her under the water:( Today she did much better though. She is going everyday this week, and then moves up into the next class and goes once a week for 8 weeks. I think that class will be better because I won't be in the water with her. When the instructors take her and help her, she does fine (she is still cautious, but she does what she is supposed to do), but with me, she acts all scared and doesn't want to do anything she is supposed to do. She is having fun though...even if she won't admit it, lol. This morning when we got out of the car, she did her happy little skip she does when she is excited and she talked about them all day today:)

I rembember doing this when I was little. B & A usually bother each other when one or the other is taking a bath and their is never enough time to concentrate on this imaginary time :( So now we have upgraded to showers!

SOunds like swim time will get better as time goes by...but why is it that the kids will listen to a stranger (anyone but Mom and Dad) and cry with us? ugh.

Best Wishes on the next couple of classes...

It's a girl thing because Lily does the EXACT same stuff. We end up with more water on the floor than in the tub, and more toys in teh tub than you can imagine! (Mostly Littlest Pet Shops, My Little Ponies etc...)! Fun -- fun-- fun!

Cute pictures. I can remember taking you and Phillip to swimming lessons when you were 6 or 9 months. We would blow in your face and that would cause you to take a big breath. Then under you went. Seemed to work good. Also, children behave differently when their parents are there.

Don't worry, it will get better

Ain't bath time so much fun? I hear the swimming lessons are going much better now except for the back stroke!
